Watch this video to learn how to perform a transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER) measurement to evaluate the barrier integrity of epithelial cells in an air-liquid interface (ALI) culture. By performing this assay you can evaluate the health of the culture at maturation or describe the barrier function throughout the process of differentiation. This procedure can also be used to measure TEER in submerged monolayer cultures.
