Isolate highly purified human CD34+ cells from whole blood or buffy coat samples with ease, using immunomagnetic positive selection, with the EasySep™ Human Whole Blood CD34 Positive Selection Kit II. Widely used in published research for more than 20 years, EasySep™ combines the specificity of monoclonal antibodies with the simplicity of a column-free magnetic system.

In this EasySep™ positive selection procedure, desired cells are labeled with antibody complexes recognizing CD34 and magnetic particles. The cocktail in this kit also contains an antibody to human Fc receptor to prevent non-specific binding. Labeled cells are separated using an EasySep™ magnet and by simply pouring off the unwanted cells. The cells of interest remain in the tube. Following magnetic cell isolation, the desired CD34+ cells are ready for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, or DNA/RNA extraction. The CD34 antigen is expressed on hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells.

If isolating CD34+ cells from fresh cord blood, we recommend using the EasySep™ Human Cord Blood CD34 Positive Selection Kit II (Catalog #17896). Alternatively, if isolating CD34+ cells from any other sample type, the EasySep™ Human CD34 Positive Selection Kit II (Catalog #17856) should be used.
