Overview
Primary human CD36+ cells were derived from positively selected bone marrow (BM) CD34+ cells. CD34+ cells were cultured in StemSpan™ SFEM II with SCF, EPO, IL-3 and hydrocortisone for 10 days to generate CD36+ cells. BM was collected using heparin as an anticoagulant. CD36 is expressed on erythroid progenitor and lineage cells.
Cells were obtained using Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved consent forms and protocols.
