Day 1 (3.75 hrs, including introduction, break, and wrap-up)

  • Virtual Lecture: Introduction to Hematopoiesis and the Colony-Forming Unit (CFU) Assay for Human Samples (1 hr)
  • Virtual Lecture: CFU Assay Set-Up and Colony Identification for Human Samples (2 hrs)

Day 2 (4 hrs, including break and wrap-up)

  • Virtual Lecture: Standardization of the CFU Assay and Automation (0.5 hr)
  • Virtual Lab: Sample Thawing and CFU Assay Set-Up (1 hr)
  • Virtual Lab: Manual CFU Identification (1 hr)
  • Virtual Lab: Colony-Counting Exercise (1 hr)

Day 3 (3 hrs, including break and wrap-up)

  • Virtual Lab: Review of Manual CFU Identification (0.5 hr)
  • Virtual Lab: Comparative Colony Counting (1.5 hrs)
  • Virtual Lab: CFU analysis using STEMvision instrument (optional: 0.5 hr)

This course is certified by the United Kingdom CPD Certification Service, which may be applicable to individuals who are members of, or are associated with, UK-based professional bodies. This course consists of approximately 9.75 hours of learning.
