This magnet has 24 round posts made of neodymium (NdFeB) magnet, generating a magnetic field to attract and separate bound nucleic acids in a 1-sided pellet. The aluminum magnet frame features a step-down edge and fits standard 96-well polymerase chain reaction (PCR) plates. The magnetic orientation is axial with the north poles up.
