"The Mechanisms of Itch" Featuring Drs. Isaac Chiu and Tiphaine Voisin

On this episode of the Immunology Podcast, Drs. Isaac Chiu and Tiphaine Voisin discuss the role of the CysLT2R receptor in acute and chronic itch.

Dr. Isaac Chiu is an Assistant Professor of Immunology at Harvard Medical School, studying the role of the nervous system in mediating inflammation and host defense. Dr. Tiphaine Voisin is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School, specializing in somato-sensation and neuro-immunology. They discuss the role of the CysLT2R receptor in acute and chronic itch.

The conversation with Drs. Chiu and Voisin really made me appreciate how little we still understand about many immunological pathways, in this case the ones that drive chronic itch.

Dr. Jason Goldsmith, host
