I joined the Research and Development group at STEMCELL Technologies in 2005 after completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford with Dr. Peter Parham. With my MHC/HLA background, it was a natural transition to move from studying killer cell Immunoglobulin-like receptors (KIR) on NK cells to developing products that make routine testing in an HLA laboratory less laborious. For the past 16 years, I have developed numerous EasySep™ kits for use in crossmatch assays and chimerism testing.

I have been working closely with HLA labs in the central and southeastern United States for the past 13 years. I started out as a technical sales representative with STEMCELL Technologies immediately after completing my PhD in Chemistry at Vanderbilt University. Within a month into this new role, I had completed my very first RoboSep demo for an HLA lab in Florida. As a designated HLA product specialist for our sales team, I've conducted demos in numerous HLA labs across the US and helped establish protocols for lymphocyte isolations for flow crossmatch applications. I am currently a regional sales manager for our cell separation product portfolio, covering a territory of 25 states in the central and southeastern United States.
