Learn to maintain high-quality human intestinal organoids and about their downstream applications through live virtual training.

Overview

Human intestinal organoids provide researchers with a physiologically relevant in vitro tool for studying intestinal cell biology and modeling human diseases. Get started with the protocols and best practices for culturing human intestinal organoids in your own lab by registering for this three-day, part-time course consisting of live-streamed, interactive lectures and laboratory demonstrations. Guided by STEMCELL Technologies’ in-house organoid experts, you will gain the skills required to successfully maintain high-quality human intestinal organoids and learn about their downstream applications. You will also have the opportunity to share ideas with fellow participants in the Q&A and wrap-up sessions.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the historical context of human intestinal organoids.
  • Describe the cellular and molecular processes driving intestinal stem cell function.
  • Discern the pros and cons of organoid culture compared to 2D culture and animal models.
  • Understand the workflow and critical steps for establishing intestinal organoids from human intestinal biopsies.
  • Assess the quality of human intestinal organoids in culture.
  • Know how to quantify the culture expansion of human intestinal organoids.
  • Describe the cellular composition of differentiated organoids and their applications.
  • Understand how to culture intestinal Wnt-independent cancer organoids.
  • Describe the workflows for intestinal monolayers and apical-out organoids.

As part of the course, you will receive:

  • An electronic copy of the course book
  • Certificates of course completion from STEMCELL Technologies and Continuing Professional Development (CPD), UK
  • Post-training support from the trainers and STEMCELL’s Scientific Support team

Space is limited, please apply early for the best chance of securing a seat for your desired date. Registration closes one week before the course date.
