From Stem Cells to Organoids: Modeling the Gastrointestinal Tract

.

Organoids are three-dimensional multicellular structures that serve as functional models for the organ of interest. Organoid cultures can be derived from tissue-specific stem or progenitor cells as well as from human pluripotent stem cells. These “mini-organs” provide a convenient and physiologically relevant tool for disease modeling, stem cell biology and clinical applications. View this webinar presentation by Dr. Meritxell Huch for a discussion on organoid culture and applications, with a focus on gastric, hepatic, pancreatic and intestinal organoids.
