Hosted on Apr 8, 2026, this webinar explores automated expansion and AI-driven image analysis enabling standardized, high-throughput assay-ready organoid workflows in preclinical drug discovery, toxicity testing & disease modeling.
Key topics:
- High-content 3D imaging & AI morphological analytics
- Human GI barrier models for transport & toxicity
- Standardized HTS workflows to reduce operator variability
Key topics:
- High-content 3D imaging & AI morphological analytics
- Human GI barrier models for transport & toxicity
- Standardized HTS workflows to reduce operator variability
In this webinar, Drs. Guisy Tornillo and Sandra Grund-Gröschke from Molecular Devices demonstrate how automated organoid expansion and scaling, robotic lab automation, and AI-powered high-content image analysis enable end-to-end organoid standardization. Through real world case-studies of human intestinal organoid (HIO) barrier models and colorectal cancer microtissues, they showcase how standardized automated culture systems eliminate operator variability for predictive high-throughput drug screening.
Key Topics:
- Automated scaling of assay-ready human organoids for reproducible research
- Developing HIO barrier models for transport and toxicity safety studies
- Combining automated cell culture handling with high-content 3D imaging and AI analysis for standardized organoid screening and phenotypic profiling
Speaker Biographies
Guisy Tornillo, PhD
R&D Senior Scientist, Molecular Devices
Giusy Tornillo is a Senior Scientist in the R&D team at Molecular Devices where she works on the development of advanced 3D biology models and solutions to support drug discovery.
