August 20, 2026 - STEMCELL Technologies has joined the Blood Profiling Atlas in Cancer (BLOODPAC), a private-public consortium working to accelerate the development, validation, and clinical adoption of liquid biopsy assays. BLOODPAC brings together leaders and experts from industry, academia, healthcare, regulatory bodies, government, and other sectors to address shared challenges and advance the development and adoption of liquid biopsy technologies through collaboration, evidence generation, data sharing, and consensus building.

As a member, STEMCELL will exchange knowledge with fellow BLOODPAC members and contribute to the development of best practices and standardized approaches that improve the quality and reproducibility of blood-based testing. Consortium members collaborate through working groups focused on areas such as analytical validation, data science, clinical implementation, and clonal hematopoiesis.

Liquid biopsy technologies offer minimally invasive approaches for detecting and analyzing cancer-associated biomarkers in blood. However, pre-analytical variability in blood collection, sample handling, processing, and storage, can influence the reliability and reproducibility of results. STEMCELL's experts in cell isolation technologies and blood sample processing will contribute scientific and technical knowledge to support the consortium's efforts to advance robust pre-analytical workflows.
