2007-12-19 Generation of human induced pluripotent stem cells
In two simultaneous publications on November 30th, 2007, groups from the University of Wisconsin, USA and Kyoto University in Japan demonstrated techniques to reprogram human fibroblasts into pluripotent stem cells by ectopic expression of 4 genes. The resulting cells, called induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) appear to be biologically identical to hESCs although further work is required to confirm this.
2007-09-13 Webinar September 19: A Complete Environment for Feeder-Independent Culture of Human Embryonic Stem Cells
In this webinar, we will discuss StemCell Technologies' mTeSR™1 and BD Biosciences’ BD Matrigel™ hESC-qualified Matrix, which together provide a complete environment for the feeder-independent culture and maintenance of hES cells. Cells cultured in this environment exhibit undifferentiated morphology, consistently high expression of pluripotency markers and karyotypic stability as well as the ability to differentiate into endoderm, mesoderm and ectoderm as demonstrated in the teratoma assay.
2007-07-23 Isolate untouched basophils in about 30 minutes
The new EasySep® Human Basophil Enrichment Kit isolates highly purified basophils by negative selection. The unlabeled basophils are immediately available for flow cytometry or any other downstream application.
2007-07-13 Cryopreserved embryonic rat neurospheres
Cryopreserved neurospheres are generated from CNS tissue isolated from day 18 rat embryos.
2007-06-19 mTeSR1 defined medium for feeder-independent maintenance of hESC
mTeSR1 is a defined, serum-free medium for the maintenance of human embryonic stem cells (hESC). It is designed to be used with BD Matrigel hESC-qualified Matrix. Together, these products offer an optimized cell culture environment for hESC research.
2007-03-15 Liquid HAT selection medium for mouse hybridoma production
This medium is a DMEM-based formulation containing growth factors and medium supplements optimized to support the generation, selection, and growth of large numbers of mouse hybridoma clones.
