The cells of interest are labeled with monoclonal antibodies, and then crosslinked to magnetic particles. The sample is placed in the EasySep
®
magnet, and after incubation, the unwanted cells are poured or pipetted into a new tube while the magnetically labeled desired cells remain in the original tube. The isolated cells are immediately available for flow cytometry or any other downstream application, with no need to remove the magnetic particles.
