Primary human marrow stromal cells (MSCs) have been cultured from adult bone marrow (BM) mononuclear cells (MNCs). These cells have fibroblast-like morphology and express CD29, CD44, CD105 and CD166 (greater than 90% expression determined by flow cytometric analysis). They lack expression of CD14, CD34, and CD45. The cells are cryogenically preserved.
