Maintenance
Maintenance of miPSCs and mESCs requires the use of carefully prescreened reagents to ensure retention of pluripotency. All ES-Cult reagents are prescreened to ensure the maintenance of mESCs.
Differentiation
Many protocols to differentiate miPSCs and mESCs require the formation of embryoid bodies (EBs) followed by subculture in lineage-specific differentiation conditions. AggreWell™ plates allow users to control the size and shape of the EBs allowing for reproducibility, optimization of differentiation protocols to specific lineages, standardization of the production of EBs and reduction of variability associated with miPSC and mESC differentiation. Reagents and protocols suitable for differentiation towards hematopoietic, neural, and endothelial cell types are also available.
Characterization
Undifferentiated miPSCs and mESCs can be characterized by the expression of cell surface antigens and intracellular transcription factors. STEMCELL Technologies offers a complete set of primary antibodies to enable the characterization of undifferentiated miPSCs and mESCs.
