SmartDish™
A disadvantage of traditional cultureware is the presence of a meniscus at the edge of the culture dish. This meniscus effect leads to greater medium depth, causing optical distortion at this outer edge.
 
SmartDish™ cultureware has been designed to reduce the formation of a meniscus, permitting more uniform distribution of medium. The result is a more homogeneous colony distribution, and less optical distortion and crowding of colonies at the edges of the dishes.
