Vial label for rh M IG-gamma (CXCL9) 10 µg
Monokine induced by interferon-g (MIG) is a member of the α (CXC) family of chemokines. It is produced by lymphokine activated macrophages, IFN-γ treated peripheral blood monocytes, IFN-γ-treated primary glial cells of the central nervous system. MIG is a chemoattractant for activated T lymphocytes and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes but not for neutrophils or monocytes. The mature protein contains 103 amino acid residue and migrates with an apparent Mw of 11.7 kDa. MIG has an extended C-terminus containing greater than 50% basic amino acid residues. The C-terminus is prone to proteolytic cleavage resulting in size heterogeneity. MIG binds to CCR3.
