Vial label for Anti-Human Keratin 19 (Clone A53-B/A2) 100 µg
This antibody recognizes a keratin 19 polypeptide that is expressed in a variety of epithelia, including sebaceous glands, eccrine sweat glands, respiratory epithelium, salivary gland epithelium, gastric epithelium, colonic epithelium, prostatic epithelium and renal epithelium. In the human mammary gland, keratin 19 is expressed in luminal cells of the large ducts, but is expressed only in a subset of luminal epithelial cells in the rest of the mammary tree. Myoepithelial cells do not express this keratin. Thus this can be used as a marker for luminal epithelial cells of mammary gland.
