The Allophycocyanin (APC)-conjugated goat anti-rat IgM antibody F(ab’)2 fragment was isolated from goat antisera by immunoaffinity chromatography using antigens coupled to agarose beads. The antibody was pepsin digested to obtain the F(ab’)2 fragment. Fc fragments and whole IgG molecules have been removed. Based on immunoelectrophoresis and/or ELISA, the antibody reacts with the heavy chain of rat IgM but not with rat IgG.
