Mouse granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) is a 19 kDa protein with 179 amino acid residues. G-CSF is a pleiotropic cytokine best known for its specific effects on the proliferation, differentiation and activation of hematopoietic cells of the granulocyte lineage and for its ability to mobilize hematopoietic stem cells and progenitors into the blood circulation. Mouse G-CSF is active on human cells.
