Ficoll-Paque™ PREMIUM
This product is recommended for isolation of mononuclear cells from peripheral blood, cord blood and bone marrow. Differences in cell density are exploited to separate granulocytes and erythrocytes from mononuclear cells. Granulocytes and erythrocytes have a higher density at the osmotic pressure of Ficoll-Paque™ PREMIUM, and they sediment through the Ficoll-Paque™ PREMIUM layer during centrifugation. Ficoll-Paque™ PREMIUM also enhances erythrocyte aggregation to increase erythrocyte sedimentation through the Ficoll-Paque™ PREMIUM layer. Mononuclear cells, with lower density, remain at the plasma-Ficoll-Paque™ PREMIUM interface.
 
Ficoll-Paque™ PREMIUM is manufactured according to GMP and ISO standards, and in accordance with USP <1043> recommendations for ancillary materials.
