This fetal bovine serum (FBS) has been screened and selected for optimal in vitro expansion of human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) as well as their detection and enumeration using the colony forming unit - fibroblast (CFU-F) assay. This FBS is a component of Mesenchymal Stem Cell Stimulatory Supplements (Catalog #05402) and is not required as an additional component. This FBS is of US origin and has been certified by the manufacturer to be Mycoplasma-free and virus-tested.
