StemSep™: Highly Versatile Column-Based Cell Separation

StemSep® Column Based Cell Separation System
StemSep™ is an immunomagnetic column-based cell isolation system, in which cells are labeled with TAC, crosslinked to StemSep™ magnetic particles, and then separated using a column held in a magnet. StemSep™ can select or deplete cells from any sample type in a single cell suspension.

The Tetrametric Antibody Complex (TAC) crosslinks cells to other targets for selection, such as dextran-coated magnetic particles (shown) or red blood cells.


All four cell separation platforms at STEMCELL Technologies harness the powerful Tetrameric Antibody Complex (TAC) technology for either positive or negative selection.

TACs stably crosslink cells expressing specific surface markers to other targets for selection, such as dextran-coated magnetic particles (for immunomagnetic selection) or red blood cells (for immunodensity enrichment). The crosslinked cells can then be quickly separated from the remaining untouched cells.
