    Many protocols to differentiate human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) require the formation of embryoid bodies (EBs).  Current methods for doing this are not reproducible and result in EBs that are heterogeneous in size and shape (Figure 1A), leading to inefficient and uncontrolled differentiation.

    Reduce Variability Using AggreWell™ Plates

    AggreWell™ plates contain microwells (Figure 2) which can be used to aggregate hESCs and hiPSCs into uniform EBs (Figure 1B, Figure 3).  The AggreWell™ plate can be used to control the size of the EBs (Figure 3), allowing optimization of differentiation protocols to specific lineages.

    The AggreWell™ plate standardizes the production of EBs, reducing the variability associated with hESC and hiPSC differentiation.
